Use the West Cape lookout and day-visitor area for access, with the boardwalk, car park, and sealed-road entry making it straightforward to reach.
North-northwest is the clean offshore lane, southwest swell is the main trigger, mid tide is the cleanest window, and low/high still work if the reef is standing up.
Expect rocks, strong rips, and a longer open-ocean fetch than the more protected peninsula spots.
