The Wave

Pinballs sits just outside the bay's north point and can be choppy or glassy depending on tradewind strength. Entry/exit via the northeast 'keyhole' is used to avoid the powerful western shore dump. Expect the cleanest, most rideable peaks on long-period NW groundswells with light E-SE tradewinds and mid-rising to mid-falling tides. On very large NW swells the true Waimea ledge dominates and conditions become high-consequence.
