The jetty creates a persistent pocket and a shallow trough at the jetty-mouth - expect stronger rips and faster, punchier peaks near the structure and softer, wider peaks a few blocks either side.
Works best on long-period SE groundswells but also responds to local windswells.
Cleaner sessions arrive with NW winds, and mid-to-high tide keeps peaks fuller while low tide can expose the sandbar trough and increase punch and current.
