The Wave
The pier attracts most surfers and concentrates the busiest peaks on the south side, while hunting down quieter, better-shaped peaks several hundred yards to the south can pay off.
The spot prefers medium-period W to WNW groundswells with light E-NE winds (these trades act offshore for the southwest-facing shoreline), and it commonly reads best around mid-high tide when sandbanks compress into peaky lefts and rights.
