West wind keeps it clean, east-southeast swell is the main trigger, and all tides stay workable with only a slight middle-tide lean if the banks need shaping.

Use Graydon Avenue and the northern carpark.
The beach is not patrolled.
The bay side is good for snorkelling, dolphins are common, and the lack of toilets or change rooms means it is a simple beach mission rather than a full-service surf facility.
